This paper focuses on a study of the evolution in the epigraphical representation of Augustae in the Western provinces of North Africa between the Severan period and the principate of Trajan Decius. The documents are analysed according to the usual criteria of typology of dedications and monuments, authors and geographical distribution. Particular attention is also paid to the analysis of the titles with which the Augustae were honoured, in order to understand the degree of local receptivity of imperial propaganda and the reciprocal influence between unofficial and official sources.
