This essay, which takes its cue from a recent work dedicated to the Centri d’azione per l’arte, aims to reconstruct the activities promoted by these organizations, identifying a number of common traits consistent with the policies promoted by the Ministero dell’Educazione Nazionale headed by Giuseppe Bottai. Specifically, the focus is on the Mostra del Premio Bergamo exhibition; the exhibition of the Feroldi Collection; Scipione’s retrospective, the Mostra di disegni contemporanei, organised by the Centro d’azione in Milan; and the Mostra di Ventuno Artisti Italiani, set up in Palermo by the local Centro d’azione.
