conservation of natural resources in the Brasília National Park (PNB). We done: bibliographic and documentary survey; field research; interviews; mapping; organization and analysis of information. The results highlighted socio-environmental potentialities: Cerrado forest fragments; biological diversity; springs and streams used for local water supply - Santa Maria Reservoir; ecological trails; natural pools; Environmental Education Center; historical and cultural heritage. However, several conflicting relationships and socio-environmental impacts hinder the management and conservation of natural resources in the PNB, such as: land regularization; overlap with other UCs; real estate speculation in PNB and surrounding areas; irregular occupations; urban pressure, entre outros. Regarding impacts, the following stand out: inadequate disposal of solid waste and domestic effluents; burning and forest fires; logging; degraded areas; erosion processes; silting of watercourses and the Santa Maria Reservoir; presence of exotic species; illegal hunting and fishing; proximity to the Structural Dump,, entre outros. These impacts affect natural resources that are fundamental to the population, such as water. It is urgent to outline strategies based on Environmental Education, prioritizing participatory management to mediate conflicting relationships and reduce impacts on the PNB and its surroundings. Abstract
conservation of natural resources in the Brasília National Park (PNB).
