This article explores the Drucebo effect's potential in fibromyalgia management. The Drucebo effect, first identified in 2018, highlights the significant impact of patient expectations on treatment outcomes, independent of the treatment's direct pharmacological effects. Fibromyalgia, characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain and other symptoms, poses a significant challenge due to its complex and poorly understood etiology. Recent studies suggest that managing patient expectations can significantly enhance treatment efficacy. Effective strategies include improving patient-clinician communication, educating patients about their condition, and tailoring expectation management to individual patients. Integrating these strategies could substantially improve the quality of life for fibromyalgia patients.

Abstract
Integrating these strategies could substantially improve the quality of life for fibromyalgia patients.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
