Comunicare la crisi: ostacoli e strategie per un'informazione democratica

The emergency related to the Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of investigating institutional language. Communication is always central for effective information exchange, particularly in emergency contexts characterized by uncertainty. This contribution examines the relationship between the linguistic complexity of institutional communication and the tendency to seek information from unofficial sources. The infodemic phenomenon can be contrasted mainly by using official sources: institutions must establish a trust pact with citizens, making communication more "democratic". By analyzing official texts on vaccines and green passes from the Cov-I-Cor corpus, this research intends to make texts more understandable, encouraging people to use official sources.
