Members of the Fusarium tricinctum species complex (FTSC) are polyphagous and widespread pathogens, although some are considered of secondary importance on several crops. However, their presence has increased in crops such as wheat, barley, ryegrass, redcurrant, box and apple, causing yield losses, quality reduction and mycotoxin contamination.
