Быстрое развитие геоинформационной индустрии и цифровых ГИС ставит острый вопрос о применении конкурентоспособного программного обеспечения (ПО): высокоточного, автоматизированного, эффективного в использовании. Статья рассматривает опыт использования такого ПО: сонарной системы эхолотирования Hydrosweep DS для «умного», т.е. высокоавтоматизированного картографирования (smart mapping) методом дистанционного зондирования. Использование глубоководного акустического комплекса позволяет провести высокоточные измерения и минимизировать ошибки и погрешности, связанные с человеческим фактором, путем высокоуровневой автоматизации съемки.

Abstract
The paper describes the advantages in the advanced tools in bathymetric mapping.
