La trasmissione radiofonica "La lingua d'Italia" (1938) e il dibattito linguistico delle pagine del Radiocorriere.

The radio broadcast La Lingua d'Italia (1938), created in collaboration with the Accademia d'Italia, fulfils the pedagogical function assigned to the radio during fascism: the first six lessons were followed by conversations with listeners discussing their linguistic doubts. Both the lessons and the Risposte are transcribed in Radiocorriere, the weekly magazine dedicated to the radio. Even though the topics debated are not particularly new (perhaps with the exception of the Italian pronunciation problem), it is still interesting to observe how the very concrete questions of the listeners keep the debate within the technicalities of the linguistic sphere, steering away from ideology. Yet the ideological context of the magazine, is well present in the background and emerges immediately when the subject is susceptible to being politicised.
