the aim of the study is to compare the differences in caregivers status between those partecipating in support group and those of educational groups on the measures of burden and distress . we assess 27 caregivers who partecipate at supportive groups and 39 who meet educational groups. to assess outcomes we use the GHQ, The Zarit Burden Interview. the results outline that supportive groups regard caregivers with higher level of distress and burden while caregivers partecipating in educational groups are less distressed. these data outline the opportunity to ameliorate, using screening instrument, the referring for a targeted interventions.
