Despitegreatereffortsmadeoverrecentyearstoteachanimalnutritiontoveterinarystudents,moreneedstobedonetodevelopteachingmethodsandimproveeducationonequinenutrition.Theflippedclassroomandpeer-assistedlearning(FC/PAL)approachisateachingtechniquesuggestedtosupportlearning;however,researchintoFC/PALinveterinaryeducationisscarceandlittleisknownaboutstu-dents’viewsonthisapproach.Thisstudyexaminedtheresultsofaquestionnaireadministeredtoassessveterinarystudents’perceptionsof/viewsaboutthesuitabilityofFC/PALappliedinanequinenutritioncourse.Correlationanalysisofstudents’responsestoquestionnaireitemsandprincipalcomponentanal-ysis(PCA)wasperformedtoanalyzethevariabilityinstudentperceptions.Theresultsshowedthatal-thoughhalfthestudentsreportedtobeuninterestedinequinenutrition,mostexpressedpositiveatti-tudestowardsFC/PAL.Comparingtheperceptions/viewstowardsFC/PALamonglowandhighachievers,asignificantdifferencewasfoundfortheitemconsideringthedurationofFC/PAL(P=.002).Correlationanalysisbetweenquestionnaireitemsshowedapredominanceofpositivemoderatecorrelationsamonghighachieversandweakcorrelationsamonglowachievers.PCArevealedthreeimportantfindings.First,studentinteresttowardsequinenutritionexplainstheresponsevariabilityamonglowachievers.Second,therewassignificantagreementamongalmostallhighachieversregardingthedurationoftheFC/PAL.Third,intheitemevaluatingtheusefulnessofcollaboratingwithpeers,disagreementwasonlyfoundamonglowachievers.Insummary,aflippedclassroomcombinedwiththesamelevelpeer-assistedlearn-ingappearstoencouragestudentinteractionandcollaborationintheclassroom

Abstract
