This paper examines theLiber de doctrina dicendi et tacendi, written by AlbertanusofBrescia in 1245.Accordingtothis author,in order to guarantee common good and civil harmony,the power of language to affect both society and individuals requiresrules and regulations that lead people to an ethical use of the speech.
