Diffuse non cicatricial alopecia in females can be a challenging situation to deal with because the diagnosis is not always feasible without histology due to the similar clinical picture. The aim of our report is to list and compare clinical and trichoscopy findings to demonstrate how trichoscopy can replace in many situations the urgence of a histopathological confirmation.
