"Passato Prossimo" is a pedagogical project coordinated in 2020 by the theatre critics association Altre Velocità that prompted artists (Kepler452), educators and cultural associations (ANPI) to produce audio guides, walking tours and critical sessions including the active participation of middle school students. The project represented an experimental and synergic model intending to contribute to the education of todays’ young citizens and combining various theatrical expertise with a theatrebased critical pedagogy. The methodology is based both on historiographical research concerning social and community theatre, participatory art and verbatim theatre, and furthermore field research including interviews, meetings and participation in the creative process and its aesthetic outcomes.
