The article deals with the digitalization of art works and the circulation of their copies through the new market of the NFTs. The world is changing, and the concepts of property and authorship need to adapt as well. Inspired from the Decree No. 161/2023, the Author reflects on how technology, if correctly endorsed by the law, might contribute to enhancing the value of private and public cultural heritage.
