An unpublished manuscript of Frank P. In such a note, Ramsey addresses the problem of the reality of time, widely discussed by philosophers at the beginning of the last Century. Ramsey discusses at length the position of McTaggart and Broad, criticizing both. He then puts forward a personal viewpoint on the notion of time, holding that it should be treated like other indexical terms, like "I".

Abstract

An unpublished manuscript of Frank P. Ramsey, taken from the "Ramsey Collection" held at Archives of Scientific Philosophy (Hillman Library, University of Pittsburgh), and bearing the title "Note on Time", is presented and discussed.
