Abstract
A good maintenance policy, management and practice is really important in order to achieve more cost-effective manufacturing. In particular, good results in the field may be obtained by the introduction of reliability criteria in the definition and improvement of the maintenance planning. In this frame, ENEA (an Italian Research Institute) developed, in collaboration with some European companies (ATC, ANSALDO, SIVECO Group and IIS sa) and within a project financed by the European Commission (Contract No BRPR - CT96-0211), a software tool to be applied for the improvement of the maintenance planning of each type of industrial system on the basis of reliability and costs criteria.Among other software methods and devices, such main software tool includes a computer code for the system reliability analysis based on the use of Montecarlo techniques. Subject of the present paper is a detailed description of the main features and performances of such system reliability analysis code and of the main algorithms applied in its development.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
