This analysis addresses a need to further problematize women’s self-determination with respect to reproductive choices. In light of this, the aim is to point out how controversial is both the process of qualifying the right to self-ownership and body, in the tension between individual interests and collective interests, and the relationship between agency and self-determination, if we do not consider the conditions within which women are free to choose.
