Uno strumento di delegittimazione politica? La diplomazia di Bonn e l’eredità della Resistenza nelle relazioni italo-tedesche, 1949-1963

est German diplomacy and Italian diplomacy in the late Forties and early Sixties. The case study therefore intends to analyse a problematic aspect in the resumption of diplomatic relations: the memory of the partisan war of liberation. For different rea- sons, the construction of public memory of «Resistenza» was observed with great con- cern by the two diplomatic services, both marked by cases of continuity with the period of fascist and Nazi regimes. However, the case study shows that the German vision of the «Resistenza» was not only one-sided and negative, but reached a certain development, open to possible positive implications.
