Adolescence is a delicate and stimulating phase in the life of girls. These are the years in which a progressive, sometimes traumatic, detachment from parental influence leads to the abandonment of the previous infantile self and to the experimentation of new models, perspectives, habits, behaviours, stimulated by the attendance of the peer group. Being adolescents, for girls who are daughters of immigrants, can be even more complex, since the vulnerabilities that are typical of that age are added to those de-riving from migratory stress, from socio-cultural integration processes, from generational clashes within the family, in certain cases from dramatic experiences that they have left behind.

L’adolescenza costituisce una fase al contempo delicata e stimolante nella vita delle ragazze. Sono gli anni in cui un progressivo, talvolta traumatico, distacco dall’influenza genitoriale porta all’abbandono del precedente io infantile e alla sperimentazione di nuovi modelli, prospettive, abitudini, comportamenti, sollecitati dalla frequentazione del gruppo dei pari. Essere adolescenti, per le ragazze figlie di immigrati, può risultare ulteriormente complesso, dal momento che alle vulnerabilità proprie di quell’età si ag-giungono quelle derivanti dallo stress migratorio, dai processi di integrazione socio-culturale, dagli scontri generazionali interni alla famiglia, in certi casi dai vissuti drammatici che si sono lasciati alle spalle.
