Within the cultural horizon we have defined so far, museums, archives and libraries are the guarantors of conservation, the more it is hoped correct and impartial (but, as we have just recalled, the neutrality of the observer, from Heisemberg onwards, was declared impossible), of what was produced by the human community, or considered significant and worthy of being handed down to posterity, regardless of political evaluations, religious, economic... From this point of view, I believe that libraries have a wider range of action than museums, which are obliged to adhere strictly to criteria of selection strongly precoordinated for obvious needs: these in fact could never contain all the works of art, design, all the stones of a mountain, all the specimens of hymenoptera, except to end up again creating a map, to quote Borges, which is exactly the same as the territory [23]and try to make the universe coincide in all facets with the docuverso, to quote again an expression of Ridi. Abstract
In this direction the only possible museum would be the universe itself, but the only museum curator, or librarian, or archivist able to draw up the catalogue would be God.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
