The magnitude of shocks will surely affect the fiscal deficit and public debt in the majority of them. The sustainability and the survival of present worldwide economic system is severely tested. Through the application of the Granger causality methodology, the historical series of monetary aggregates and inflation are analyzed for different countries. The goal of this empirical analysis to support an unconventional approach to the solution of a crisis that has pervaded all nations and economic systems.
