This paper presents a use case of hybrid AI approach applied to the European legislation with the aim to detect the derogations in the norms and to extract the main components. The result is modelled in Akoma Ntoso XML standard for supporting further applications, open data sharing and interoperability between different tools. We have conducted this research inside of the project ‘Drafting legislation in the era of AI and digitisation’ with the support of the EU Commission – Directorate General Informatics Unit B2 – Solutions for Legislation, Policy & HR.
