In livestock skeletal muscle is a tissue of major economic importance. Pre- and post-natal myogenesis are relevant phases for muscle mass development and meat quality in pigs and will determine the most important aspects influencing meat acceptance by processing industry and consumers. In this paper will be described the most recent advances in omics technologies for porcine specie with a particular emphasis on functional genomics.

Abstract
In livestock skeletal muscle is a tissue of major economic importance. Pre- and post-natal myogenesis are relevant phases for muscle mass development and meat quality in pigs and will determine the most important aspects influencing meat acceptance by processing industry and consumers. In this paper will be described the most recent advances in omics technologies for porcine specie with a particular emphasis on functional genomics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
