The chapter presents some recent results on the relations between classical expected Fisher information and quantum counterparts such as Helstrom information and Wigner-Yanase skew information. The results have relevant application in the evaluation of the efficiency of an unbiased estimator of the parameter of interest (that one that specifies the state of the system) since they lead to approximate quantum Cramér-Rao bounds.
