Abstract

The present work investigates the suitability of artificial Accelerograms, generated according to the procedure proposed by Sabetta and Pugliese (1996) and modified by Buratti (2009b), for being used as input in non-linear analysis of reinforced concrete structures. With respect to three case study structures, maximum interstorey drift demands obtained by artificial accelerograms are compared with reference drift values obtained from analyses performed using a large number of recorded accelerograms.
