Experience with adrenal and thyroid surgery performed at the same time in two cases of MEN IIA syndrome is reported. The decision for synchronous treatment of pheochromocytoma and medullary thyroid carcinoma arose from the safe outcome through anesthesia and surgical removal of pheochromocytoma due to favourable intraoperative findings and hemodynamic parameters: in timing terms, priority was given to adrenalectomy.

Abstract
Experience with adrenal and thyroid surgery performed at the same time in two cases of MEN IIA syndrome is reported. The decision for synchronous treatment of pheochromocytoma and medullary thyroid carcinoma arose from the safe outcome through anesthesia and surgical removal of pheochromocytoma due to favourable intraoperative findings and hemodynamic parameters: in timing terms, priority was given to adrenalectomy.File in questo prodotto:
