Biblioteche e archivi d’autore: questioni aperte e riflessioni metodologiche

There are numerous difficulties and problems concerning the treatment and management of archives and author’s libraries, highlighted for considerable time in the many conferences and essays dealing with this theme. The heterogeneity of these collections makes the approach to their treatment very difficult, and lot of organizations have dismembered author’s collections making difficult an adequate usage. The proposals for solving and overtaking these problems deal with the need of a coordination in preliminary acquisition of collections, together with the adoption of predefined models and of an integrated cataloguing of libraries and author’s archives that considers them as parts of a single author’s collection.
