A series of triazine herbicides has been investigated in order to assess the intercorrelations of different lipophilic parameters. Chromatographic Rm and log k′ values have been experimentally determined and very good correlations have been found between them. Octanol/water partition coefficients have been taken from the literature and/or calculated by means of the clogp program. Again, very good correlations have been shown to exist between chromatographic indices and log P data. The present results indicate the usefulness of chromatographic parameters as supplements or complements to the classical octanol/water partition coefficients. © 1991.
