The present contribution deals with plurilingualism in Italian schools. It shows the preliminary results about a survey of the Centro di Ricerca per la Didattica dell’Italiano (CRDI) of the University of Bologna, which has taken place in a middle school in Goito (MN). Then, some of their school texts have been analysed in order to evaluate features of written productions of second-generation students or students arrived in Italy earlier than 5 years ago speaking also Italian with their family members.
