Il quartiere artigianale punico di Tharros sull’istmo Sa Codriola. Dati preliminari dalla ricerca in corso

Geophysical and archaeological research undertaken on the isthmus of Sa Codriola, on the Sinis Peninsula, a suburban area to the ancient Punic city of Tharros, has brought to light two kilns intended for the manufacture of amphorae and possibly coroplastic. The period of use of these kilns lies between the 6th and 3rd centuries B.C. The preliminary results of the field investigations are presented here with the aim of defining in a diachronic sense the sequences of use of the different sectors of Punic and Roman Tharros.
