La retorica della saggezza nel «Furioso»

The study analyzes the problematic relationship with the wisdom that entertain both the Narrator of the "Furioso" and the three characters who most contribute to the closure of the plot: Astolfo, Rinaldo and Ruggiero. As regards the first aspect, we try to show the difference between the public rhetoric of the Narrator del "Furioso" and the private rhetoric of the speaker of the "Satire". The precariousness of any form of mental balance in the "Furioso" is confirmed by the analysis of the three characters.

Lo studio analizza il problematico rapporto con la saggezza che intrattengono sia il Narratore del "Furioso", sia i tre personaggi che maggiormente contribuiscono alla chiusura dell’intreccio: Astolfo, Rinaldo e Ruggiero. Per quanto riguarda il primo aspetto, si cerca di mostrare la differenza tra la retorica pubblica del Narratore del "Furioso" e la retorica privata del Narratore delle "Satire". La provvisorietà di ogni forma di equilibrio mentale nel "Furioso" trova conferma nell’analisi dei tre personaggi.
