Abstract

During these months full of uncertainties for the human being, nature has taken possession of temporarily abandoned urban spaces undisturbed. This suggestion of re-appropriation was the inspiration for a project design for the former sanatorium in Garbagnate, laying in a state of abandonment. The proposed approach mainly aims at developing a new relationship between the human being and wild animals, through a gradual re-naturation of part of the complex, combined with the redevelopment of open spaces and buildings aimed at exploring the already consolidated relationship between humans and pets.
