The contribution focuses on the installation that Giulio Paolini created in 2022 inside the convent of San Marco in Florence. In a dormitory cell, frescoed by Fra Angelico between 1440 and 1442 with the Gospel scene of Noli me tangere, Paolini has placed one of his collages on a white easel. The work of the contemporary artist, which bears the same title as that of the great painter of the early Renaissance, thus enters into a refined relationship of dialogue and resonance that the analysis proposed here seeks to highlight step by step, using a methodology of semiotic investigation that calls for long periods of observation. Paolini’s Noli me tangere, based on the passionate state the artist feels in front of Angelico's fresco, thus becomes an invitation for the spectator himself to feel a similar sense of involvement and wonder.

Abstract
Paolini’s Noli me tangere, based on the passionate state the artist feels in front of Angelico's fresco, thus becomes an invitation for the spectator himself to feel a similar sense of involvement and wonder.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
