The Unstable Definition of Causation in Criminal Law and Occupational Health|Le oscillazioni del concetto di causalità tra medicina del lavoro e diritto penale

In several fields, causation is regarded as the main explanation for inner links among phenomena. However, each field endorses specific definitions of causation, due to the peculiar aspects of the area involved: this is the case of Criminal Law and Occupational Health. Thus, the paper aims to provide a systematic notion of causation considering both Criminal Law and Occupational Health in order to assess whether - and under which circumstances - epidemiological expertise could apply to the criminal sphere, without undermining the fundamental principles referred to punitive power.
