The majority of architectural heritage measurement work today, from routine photogrammetric mappings of historic facades in Europe to the GPS survey of Angkor Wat, is still performed with relatively limited contact technology. Developed primarily with an eye toward manufacturing and entertainment niches, costly noncontact digitizers are beginning to see some use in architectural and heritage applications. Different techniques and technologies for virtualized architectural heritage are discussed.

Abstract
The majority of architectural heritage measurement work today, from routine photogrammetric mappings of historic facades in Europe to the GPS survey of Angkor Wat, is still performed with relatively limited contact technology. Developed primarily with an eye toward manufacturing and entertainment niches, costly noncontact digitizers are beginning to see some use in architectural and heritage applications. Different techniques and technologies for virtualized architectural heritage are discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
