The full group analysis is applied to the second order equation governing the deformation of a homogeneous isotropic hyperelastic material. Some exact similarity solutions are obtained corresponding to classes of materials compatible with the conditions of invariance. The propagation of spherical discontinuity waves is then considered in a non-constant state characterized by the above mentioned solutions. The occurrence of shock waves is discussed.

Abstract
The full group analysis is applied to the second order equation governing the deformation of a homogeneous isotropic hyperelastic material. Some exact similarity solutions are obtained corresponding to classes of materials compatible with the conditions of invariance. The propagation of spherical discontinuity waves is then considered in a non-constant state characterized by the above mentioned solutions. The occurrence of shock waves is discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
