This study was designed to demonstrate that MSPc of T. denticola stimulates release of proinflammatory mediators in primary human monocytes. Our results indicate that T. denticola MSPc, at concentrations ranging from 100 ng/mL to 1.0 mug/mL, activates a proinflammatory response in primary human monocytes.
