This paper aims at highlighting the contribution of legal philosophy to the recent bioethical debate, starting from the issue about “how” law should rule ethical problems – here delimited to end-of-life. The topic in- volves the analysis of the intersections between law and the constitutional rights framework, with a specific reference to the ongoing debate about the legitimacy of end-of-life rights, and the right to medical aid-in-dying as constitutional right.
