The use of existing buildings represents a consolidated challenge and extremely relevant nowadays. To improve, renovate and safeguard existing buildings while considering the human-building relationship under the light of a global view is a primary objective. In fact, even in the presence of ever-growing challenges, in everyday life design is often used to merely "repair". So, the refurbishment and maintenance of a building should therefore be understood as a revitalization of the building itself that, although "healthy" and efficient from constructive and architectural science viewpoints, could result inadequate for present day society and more and more stringent requirements. To address these problems, it was decided to review, in the light of new technologies, and especially new methodologies and visions, the control and management—autonomously—of communications and adjacencies among various spaces. The research of such an approach focuses on the initial phases of the design process and can be an effective support for designers in managing the various problems that occur in this process.

Abstract
The research of such an approach focuses on the initial phases of the design process and can be an effective support for designers in managing the various problems that occur in this process.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
