The ever-increasing production and use of audiovisual media, particularly by Millennials and even more so by the Generation Z youth, is accelerating and broadening participation in the daily culture of the web. Video-sharing platforms such as YouTube and Tik Tok are changing the ways in which certain types of audiovisuals are impacting the youth's production and viewing practices on a narrative and discursive level. Through a heuristic approach, we propose an exploratory analysis of the MecontroTe case study, aiming to investigate how these bottom-up narratives and production practices are modeled and remediated following the logics of convergent culture, transmediality, and intermediality that characterize the contemporary media system.

Abstract
The ever-increasing production and use of audiovisual media, particularly by Millennials and even more so by the Generation Z youth, is accelerating and broadening participation in the daily culture of the web. Video-sharing platforms such as YouTube and Tik Tok are changing the ways in which certain types of audiovisuals are impacting the youth's production and viewing practices on a narrative and discursive level. Through a heuristic approach, we propose an exploratory analysis of the MecontroTe case study, aiming to investigate how these bottom-up narratives and production practices are modeled and remediated following the logics of convergent culture, transmediality, and intermediality that characterize the contemporary media system.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
