A multistress model, appropriate for life prediction of electrical insulating materials subjected to electrical, thermal and mechanical stresses, is presented and compared with experimental life-test data relevant to HV generator stator insulation. The algorithm for the estimation of the large number of model parameters is presented and the goodness-of-fit of the model discussed.
