The Author describes the Italian Mission of the University of Bologna in the Yaghnob Valley (Tajikistan). After the presentation of the Sogdian heritage of the modern Yaghnobis, it is illustrated the new project to create there an ethno-cultural and archaeological Park, under the protection of UNESCO and of the Tajik State.
