The essay aims to analyze how the national and international periodical press represented Italian Fashion in the fifties and sixties, starting from the Italian Fashion Shows, organized in Florence by GB Giorgini. In particular, it will be shown how, among reportages, chronicles and columns, the Fashion in Italy debate is actually articulated in the perspective of geopolitical, diplomatic and cultural relations between Italy, Europe and the United States. In this sense, by expanding historical research from the Italian to the international level, and through the analysis of primary sources, the possibility of interpreting Italian fashion and everything related to it becomes more widespread, in the international political, economic and cultural networks, within a complex organization of press institutions. In the context of the social history of fashion, this interpretation seems to have not yet been realized Geopolitics.
