Abstract
With an estimated overall power of 1 TW along the worldwide coasts, waves are a promising renewable source in an energy-demanding world (18.000 TWh per year according to the International Energy Agency). SEATITAN is a Horizon 2020 European project concerning a wave energy harvesting system based on a linear electric direct-drive power take-off. A modular power converter and its control system have been designed for an azimuthal multi-translator switched-reluctance machine used as a generator. This paper reports the main aspects of the power converter design and tests.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
