This article deals with the essential Parise’s Sillabari style of writing. The paper aims to illustrate the intersections between Parise’s work and the philosophy of perception. Drawing on Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology conceived as a relationship with reality based on visual and “sentimental” perception, the article shows that both paths (narrative and philosophical) attempt to root out some cognitive categories to rebuild the course which starts from the discovery of the world and leads up to awareness and knowledge of reality. In Parise’s Sillabari, the Italian tradition started by Vico converges with phenomenology trying to overcome, through the perception and the value of experience, the classical dichotomy between subject and object, inner and outer dimension, body and soul.

Abstract
This article deals with the essential Parise’s Sillabari style of writing. The paper aims to illustrate the intersections between Parise’s work and the philosophy of perception. Drawing on Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology conceived as a relationship with reality based on visual and “sentimental” perception, the article shows that both paths (narrative and philosophical) attempt to root out some cognitive categories to rebuild the course which starts from the discovery of the world and leads up to awareness and knowledge of reality. In Parise’s Sillabari, the Italian tradition started by Vico converges with phenomenology trying to overcome, through the perception and the value of experience, the classical dichotomy between subject and object, inner and outer dimension, body and soul.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
