The houses in the cities of late antique Romagna are known from a long tradition of studies and excavations, allowing a distinction between different construction types, which correspond to specific social levels. The cities showing the longest continuity of the late Roman residential typologies are Ravenna, Rimini, Cesena and Faenza. Even the floor mosaics document a persistence of a figurative repertoire common to the Mediterranean aristocracies.

Abstract
The houses in the cities of late antique Romagna are known from a long tradition of studies and excavations, allowing a distinction between different construction types, which correspond to specific social levels. The cities showing the longest continuity of the late Roman residential typologies are Ravenna, Rimini, Cesena and Faenza. Even the floor mosaics document a persistence of a figurative repertoire common to the Mediterranean aristocracies.File in questo prodotto:
