The article offers the first organic survey of scientific activities and production by medieval Jews living in Islamic lands. The survey is based on original sources, often unedited, and provides an account of Jewish contributions to natural philosophy, logic, mathematics, astronomy, astrology, alchemy during the Middle Ages and how these were influenced Greaco-Arabic sciences.
