This paper shows the electrical quantities of interest in inductive power transfer (IPT) charging stations for electric vehicles. After illustrating the structure of a charging station, the main quantities of interest are shown. Considering two charging stations, with very different rated power, this paper shows which are the amplitudes of the electrical quantities, their characteristics and the harmonic content. The short discussion ends with some considerations on the measurement accuracy of the measurement systems implemented in the IPT stations. Benchmarking measurements performed with a transportable reference laboratory system shown good accuracy of the measurement systems at the first station where the use of transducers can be avoided. In the second station, it was highlighted that the transducers could be the weak link in the measurement chain, significantly reducing the measurement accuracy.
