This paper deals with the organizational configurations adopted to manage tendering processes. Firms are increasingly adopting different typologies of organizational configurations – in the form of Tender Units or Offices –to deal with the complexity of public procurement processes, yet there is a lack of studies addressing how firms organize tendering processes. Adopting a resource interaction approach and by means of an exploratory case study, the study uncovers the key role played by the Tender Office, which can be considered as a resource itself and provides insights on the relevance of intra- and inter-organizational relationships for the development of the tender proposals.

Abstract
This paper deals with the organizational configurations adopted to manage tendering processes. Firms are increasingly adopting different typologies of organizational configurations – in the form of Tender Units or Offices –to deal with the complexity of public procurement processes, yet there is a lack of studies addressing how firms organize tendering processes. Adopting a resource interaction approach and by means of an exploratory case study, the study uncovers the key role played by the Tender Office, which can be considered as a resource itself and provides insights on the relevance of intra- and inter-organizational relationships for the development of the tender proposals.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
