Recently discovered, an unpublished epitaph documents the presence of classiarii of the Misene fleet in Tarentum. Their names are documented for the first time, while their origins and the name of the ship are unknown. The place of reuse of the slab allows to locate the necropolis where one of the two sailors was buried.
